As home entertainment takes over the mainstream in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, a world-premiere of a YouTube summer special featuring a collection of live footage of fan-selected favorite tunes from Hikaru’s live archive has been confirmed.
Entitled “HIKARU UTADA Live TOP FAN PICKS”, the special features live footage of 11 songs selected by fans from Hikaru’s staff’s Instagram Stories poll, as well as the music video of her latest single “Time”. The special collection of footage spans all the way from her very first live performance “LUV LIVE” back in 1999 to “Hikaru Utada Laughter in the Dark Tour 2018”, her latest tour to date.
As to which song comes from which show footage, just wait until you see the program – it will be world-premiered on YouTube from 21:00 JST on Monday, August 31. Don’t miss it!
