DIR EN GREY Reveals New Look and Details of New Album “The Insulated World” Slated for September 26 Release

DIR EN GREY has recently revealed details of their brand new full-length album titled “The Insulated World”. Being the band’s 10^th album, this is also their first album in three years and nine months since their last album release “ARCHE” on December 10, 2014. The album features a total of 13 songs which include 11 new songs, in addition to two tracks released before as singles, “Utafumi” and “Ningen wo kaburu”.

“The Insulated World” will come in 4 different versions: Limited Deluxe Version that includes 2 Blu-spec CDs for the album, 1 bonus CD and 1 bonus Blu-ray or DVD; First Press Limited Version that includes the main CD with the songs and a bonus CD; and finally the Regular Version that comes only with the CD. The bonus CD in the Deluxe Version contains the remake of 3 older songs, including “kigan” (2002), “THE DEEPER VILENESS” (2007) and “Wake” (2000), as well as the live version of “Fukai”, “Ash” and “Beautiful Dirt” taken from their show held on June 30 this year at SHINKIBA STUDIO COAST. The Bonus Movie Disc (Blu-ray/DVD) will feature a selection of live clips taken from the latest “TOUR18 Shinsekai”. The footage will include 4 songs from the Sendai Ginko Hall Izumiti 21 show, held on April 28 and 4 others from the final show held at SHINKIBA STUDIO COAST on June 30. On top of the remake version of “kigan”, the bonus CD for the First Press Limited Version will also include live tracks for “Fukai” and “Beautiful Dirt”.

Furthermore, DIR EN GREY also announces details of the bonus prize project intended for the 29^th single “Ningen wo kaburu” and this new album. Anyone who purchases Limited Deluxe Version of “Ningen wo kaburu” and Limited Deluxe Version of “The Insulated World” will have a chance of winning a prize designed by a DIR EN GREY member. The five types of prize are respectively titled “Kyo Prize”, “Kaoru Prize”, “Die Prize”, “Toshiya Prize”, and “Shinya Prize”. Winners of each prize will be announced at a later time, please stay tuned.

DIR EN GREY has embarked on “TOUR18 WEARING HUMAN SKIN” this month, kicking it off at ROHM Theater Kyoto Main Hall (“a knot” only) on August 2. The band will put on 15 shows during the tour, including two consecutive days at Tokyo International Forum A on August 23 and 24. Afterwards, the band will go on a long-awaited Europe tour under the same title, making stops in Russia, Finland, Poland, France, UK, and Germany. With a new album and international activities announced for the second half of 2018, DIR EN GREY deserves our attention more than ever!
