Downrange, Latest Work from Famous Director Ryuhei Kitamura to Hit Toronto International Film Festival 2017!

With Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2017 just around the corner, its highly-acclaimed annual program Midnigh Madness showing the “the wild side” of films, namely the midnight screenings of the best in action, horror, shock and fantasy cinema, has recently announced the world premiere of Downrange among its all-star line-up, directed and produced by world-renowned Japanese director Ryuhei Kitamura, who is also the creator of blockbusters such as Azumi, Lupin the 3rd, and Godzilla: Final Wars. Fate/Grand Order Announces Upcoming In-Game Event “Does Moon Goddess Dream of Dumplings?” And More at Otakon 2017

At the Aniplex of America industry panel at Otakon 2017 in Washington, D.C., fans were treated to the announcement of “Does Moon Goddess Dream of Dumplings?,” which is the newest in-game event for a wildly popular mobile game Fate/Grand Order. The in-game event runs from August 17 to 24, and features a brand-new story written by Fate series creator Kinoko Nasu and the introduction of the Moon Goddess, a limited time 5-star Heroic Spirit of the Archer class. An array of in-game gifts is currently being offered in celebration of the three-day convention at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Released in June of this year, the game is currently available in North America on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Keep Reading

Fueled By Ramen recording group ONE OK ROCK has announced details of a massive North American headline tour. The “AMBITIONS U.S. TOUR 2017,” which also features a series of stops throughout Canada, kicked off July 6th at Las Vegas, Nevada’s Brooklyn Bowl. FLOW Announces 15th Anniversary Anime-only Concert “FLOW The Carnival 2017”

Last month, in July 2017, FLOW began their 15th Anniversary year, and the band recently finished the first round of their 6-city celebration tour in Fukuoka August 6th. On the final night of the tour, FLOW announced a special, one-night-only concert to take place on December 21st titled “FLOW THE CARNIVAL 2017 ~Anime-only~”, which will include 21 songs from anime-related works. Kosaka Daimaou, Producer of PIKOTARO Announces Marriage!

On August 4th, Kosaka Daimaou, the producer of the global superstar, PIKOTARO, announced via his blog that he was married on August 3rd. His bride is Hitomi Yasueda, a TV talent. Kosaka Daimaou announced the following: “To everyone who’ve always supported me, after being around for 44 years, I never thought I would write something like this… At age 44 – the same as Randy Bass’s number (former Hanshin Tigers baseball player), I got married with my long-time girlfriend, Hitomi Yasueda, yesterday, on August 3rd.” Keep Reading

A Night of Destruction and Fusion: DIR EN GREY And PIERROT Jointly Presents “ANDROGYNOS –a view of the Megiddo-“

It was an historic night at Yokohama Arena overflown with the idea of both destruction and fusion on July 7th, 2017. Titled “ANDROGYNOS –a view of the Megiddo-”, the concert was jointly performed by two legendary bands representing the Japanese Visual Kei scene during the late 90s until early 2000s, namely PIERROT and DIR EN GREY. Although the bands themselves rarely had interacted, since both bands are widely regarded as the best bands of their time, they are often referred to as the biggest “rivals” among their contemporaries. Even their fans used to be involved in a “competition” which received public attention during the 90s. Live Report: Anisong World Matsuri at Anime Expo 2017 ~Japan Super Live~

The first day of this July marks not only the beginning of the biggest North American anime convention, Anime Expo 2017, but also the second night for the much-anticipated carnival of Anisong — “Anisong World Matsuri at Anime Expo 2017 ~Japan Super Live~”. Most sought-after anisong musicians from Japan drew a packed house at Microsoft Theater that night and showcased the influential culture of Anisong and Anime with their respective stage in front of more than 6000 excited audience.
